The salve is formulated to moisturize your thirsty skin, and heal your irritated, itchy and inflamed patches. It is GREAT for healing dark spots. We're constantly outdoors and love it as our daily body moisturizer.

WHAT'S A SALVE?
An ancient medicine revived! A salve is a medicinal mixture containing beeswax and oils infused with the powers of medicinal plants. Native peoples have used salves throughout time as medicinal agents for skin, muscles and wounds. The best part about salves? Because they do no have any water in the product, they stay shelf-safe without the use of preservatives.
APPLICATION:
Apply daily to skin that needs healing and nourishment. Can also apply to ends of hair prior to swimming in ocean or chlorinated water for protection & health.
ALL-STAR PLANT INGREDIENTS:
High in antioxidants and fatty acids, organic olive oil and shea butter create a rich base for the anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of black sage and rosemary to cleanse and balance your skin's microbiome. A healthy microbiome creates an environment where our skin's able to quickly heal itself, fight off unwanted bacteria, & balance moisture levels.
The main herbal ingredient is the calendula flower, also known as the “magic skin plant.” Calendula is highly effective skin healer, and when coupled with beeswax, works effectively to create a breathable barrier that protects skin from free radicals and soothes irritation. Lavender rounds out this powerful formula, protecting our skin through its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I use this all over on my face?
We use this product on our faces in moderation. However, we recommend using the Woodie Rose Face Salve for the face as it formulated with light, dry oils for this purpose. The healing body salve has a heavier base oil (olive oil), which supports deeper absorption and healing, but can be too oily for some people's face.
What’s the shelf-life?
If kept in a cool area out of the sun with no contact with water, the product will last a year or more. Avoid moisture and excessive light to preserve product.

ADDITIONAL PRODUCT NOTES:
· White beads may be present in the salve if it was heated during transit. The white beads are fatty acids goodness that separate from other matter because they have a lower melting point. This is totally normal and does not affect the efficacy of the salve. The beads will melt upon contact with your skin.
· Residual plant matter at the bottom of your salve jar is normal and can be applied to the skin for extra nourishment.
· Uneven salve/balm surface is caused due to pouring mechanism and is normal. This does not mean your salve product has been already used.
